Ed Wilson of Ed-vanced Engines of Plano, Texas

Ed's Custom Dome

As shown in National Dragster Magazine, this is a custom dome design by Ed.  It has a bore of 4.625 with a compression distance of 1.210 and a 14.1 compression ratio.  Ed's dome will fit the big block Chevy type Pontiac head casting #427, the Dart Big Chief heads, the Brodix type of big block Chevy Pontiac heads, and the Brodix Big Duke style heads.  Contact Ed for more details at 1-972-633-0563.

Tony's Tiger

This "Tiger" is a 1999 Camaro.  "This 3100 plus pound "Deep South" outlaw match race machine has performed well under the stress of many nitrous passes with its custom designed BRC nitrous pistons.  This BRC equipped power plant has rocketed this driver and machine to sub-eight second times on the use of just one plate nitrous system.  The BRC pistons have performed flawlessly under many heavy nitrous passes and upon inspection, have been in perfect condition each time they've been looked at."  "There is no denying the mechanical simplicity of this hard-charging nitrous combination designed by Ed of Ed-vanced Engines and Performance.  The way that it runs leads many other Texas racers to believe that this team is pushing a much larger engine than what we actually have.  Ed Wilson applied many of his trade secrets to this smaller-motored big-horsepower combo in the areas of both engine, and soon to be the chassis tuning."

"The entire engine combo is composed of some of the best kept secrets in the deep-south match racing world.  The specially designed nitrous pistons are the "glue" that keep this whole combination running and functioning while others are lifting top ring lands with less abuse or tuning errors."  "BRC builds WINNERS."  BRC would like to thank Tony Jones and Ed Wilson for sharing their kind words and the details of their success!

Granny's

Granny's mud drag racer is owned by Bill Livingston.  Bill runs this 1987 Jeep Wrangler in Pro-stock class in Missouri and Illinois.  The Pro-stock allows any suspension and naturally aspirated engines with single carburetors.  Granny is currently getting an overhaul to compete in the Pro-mod class.  Upgrades includes a new chassis, a BRC 4340 crankshaft and BRC pistons are being made to fit the engine.  Ed offers a consulting service to some of his customers like Bill.
